According to sources, Sasidharan, a 57-year-old, collapsed in an ATM near his house on April 2, 2023. He was rushed to the Thrissur Government Hospital, where he unfortunately passed away. Initially believed to be a case of food poisoning, the truth unraveled itself as other members of the family showed similar symptoms except for the son, leading to suspicion.

The son, a 26-year-old Ayurvedic doctor, later confessed to the crime and explained how he had prepared the poison in his room before mixing it in with his father’s breakfast. According to reports, ever since his mother died, he had held his father responsible for her demise. His years of resentment towards his father had led to this extreme action.

The doctor, however, was released on bail for the murder case and was under treatment at a private Ayurvedic hospital in Malappuram, Kerala, India.

On April 2, 2024, the Nepal police found the Ayurvedic doctor drowned in a pond at the center where he was residing. His relatives were informed about the incident as soon as the victim's phone was recovered. The hospital he had been undergoing treatment at, had reported him missing for a week preceding the incident.

His mortal remains were handed over to his family on April 30, 2024, and he was cremated in Nepal.
