Welcome to our in-depth exploration of campus life, In this captivating interview, we delve into the heart of campus life beyond the Lecture Hall with Shruti Mishra

Priya: Hello Shruti, Welcome to Medbound Times. Please tell us something about your professional life.

Shruti: Hello! My name is Shruti Mishra. Currently, I am pursuing a B. Pharm from PDM University.

Also, I have completed my diploma from here in 2022. I have also done a 4-month internship at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Delhi. I am a Registered Pharmacist from Delhi.

Priya: Why did you choose PDM for both your diploma and bachelor's degree?

Shruti: I chose this because it is a well-known university that is near my house. PDM delivers high-quality education, and also where we get better opportunities for placements and jobs.

Priya: Tell us some more about your college.

Shruti: The University is more than 22 years old. The most special thing about PDM is their teachers and the quality of their education. Teachers are well qualified and very cooperative with students. During our exam time, teachers help students in studying and clearing doubts. Another thing is that there are so many institutions under one roof that push the boundaries of knowledge.

Priya: What about the practicals? Are they conducted regularly?

Shruti: Yes, they are conducted regularly. We get exposure to different aspects of Pharmacy in our practical lab. It feels great when you are performing experiments, discovering new elements, etc. I love organic chemistry practicals more than any other practical subject because you are playing with many colorful chemicals that soothe the soul.

PDM delivers high-quality education and opportunities for better placements.

Priya: Why did you choose this profession?

Shruti: Pharmacy is a kind of Nobel profession. It is the base of the healthcare profession, and the pharmacist is directly involved in the life cycle of medicine from manufacturing to dispensing.

Priya: What’s the best part of your profession?

Shruti: The prefix "DRx" gives the best feeling when added. Another significant aspect is the strong relationship between doctors and pharmacists. If a doctor prescribes medication, we as pharmacists are responsible for manufacturing and dispensing it. Sometimes, doctors may prescribe the wrong medication, and in such cases, we can prevent mishaps by contacting the doctor and rectifying the situation.

Priya: Best/memorable moment?

Shruti: Every moment is the best moment. My most memorable moment was during the COVID pandemic when online class lectures were in progress. It was filled with fun as someone would unknowingly shout with their mic open, while others were muted and unable to interact with the teachers. We would even act as proxies for each other. In short, it was a great experience to enjoy.

Priya: Any message for your junior?

Shruti: I want to say that if you are choosing pharmacy then you have a bright future in this field but you need to be more curious and hustler because discoveries happen every day.
