  1. What do you do?

I am an Orthodontist and work as a lecturer at Seema Dental College & Hospital, Rishikesh.

  2. What’s the best part of your profession? What made you choose this profession?

The best thing about my profession I feel like it not only cures someone’s oral health issues but can also improve someone’s appearance if needed. When your patient starts smiling while displaying teeth, it gives immense pleasure. I guess, every doctor works on treating the pain of the patient, but nowadays, aesthetics is also a point of concern which made me opt for Orthodontics as my specialty in dentistry apart from my interest.

  3. Do you like reading? What was the last thing you read?

Yes, I like to read. I prefer reading self-help books as I believe the habit of reading should be there even after completing your education to help you in your growth. To name the last book will be difficult as I read at least one chapter from any book. I am reading these days 30 Days by Marc Reklau, Closure to Love by Vex King, and Chanakya in daily life by Radhakrishnan Pillai.

  4. What is your favorite dish?

I love a Rajasthani cuisine famous in the Ajmer-Jaipur region named Aloo Pyaz Tikkad.

  5. How would your friend describe you?

    Friendly, Empathetic, Helping

  6. Who would you like to travel with?

Solo traveling had been on my bucket list since my teenage years, and I finally achieved it after completing my post-graduation. After my first solo trip, I felt so content, happy, blissful, and blessed which made me think that instead of traveling with anyone whether it’s your friends, partner, cousins, or family nothing can match the vibes of a solo trip. Though the emotions, and experiences all will be different.

  7. What is your least favorite subject?

After joining dentistry I am unable to recall that I used to dislike any subject but yeah, during school times I can say it’s Maths definitely. I used to dislike this subject so much that I celebrated after giving the 10th board exams just because I won’t be needing to read it. But destiny had some other plans, in the Orthodontics branch mathematics is somewhat related and I love this branch so much that the love overweighed the disliking. About disliking things, I’ll like to share an incident, during covid times I had master’s dissertation synopsis submissions for which the supposed topic was related to polynomic equations, for which just to understand what it is I took a whole night with sleepy eyes and I used to be so stressed up like how will I be able to deal with this. Luckily, the topic was changed and when it happened, that exactly same moment I sighed in relief.

  8. Your favorite subject(s)?

Definitely, it’s Orthodontics that’s why I have chosen this specialty as my profession.

  9. What’s something you wish to change about the world?

I believe there is an inner and outer world of yours, and, the inner world reflects on the outer world. So, yes, to change the outer world I will like to change my inner world by working on my flaws. It’s really difficult for a single person to change the world but yes it is possible if everyone in this world takes a step towards the change.

  10. If your journey was/were a movie, what would it be called?
    Dear Zindagi

  11. What are you passionate about?

I don’t believe in being passionate about anything but yes, I do believe in practicing any hobby in your life passion. This side of mine I am exploring. Earlier, I used to write but nowadays, I am trying to do photography.

  12. Best/memorable moment?

There are too many, won’t be able to list them and it will be difficult for me to select just one moment.

  13. What do you love to do in your leisure time?
Sleeping, after enrolling in a dental school, sleep is the first thing that strikes my mind. Other than that I love reading, listening to music, and dancing like a freak which I prefer doing in my leisure time as per my mood as I am a big moody person.

  14. If given a choice, what alternate career would you have opted for?

It will be really tough for me to choose another profession as my career. Though I try to incorporate my hobbies into my daily schedule but I can’t even think of making them as my alternate career choice.

  15. What is your dream travel destination?

I didn’t have traveled much, so there are many locations that are on my bucket list and firstly I would love to tick the checklist of locations hailing from India. Still, I guess watching an Aurora show or meteor shower will top any checklist.

  16. Where would you like to work in the future?

Didn’t give a thought about it yet, and I doubt that I will.

  17. Finally, a Quote you relate to More than any quote

    I heard a line from Bhagvad Geeta while listening to the podcast which I relate to इच्छा ही भ्रम है, इच्छा का अंत और भ्रम का मिटना, एक ही बात है।
