Parul soni: Ma'am, please tell us about your professional journey.
Dr. Rakhee Tirpude: I am an Associate Professor of Health Sciences at Maharashtra University. I am a physiologist at the NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. I am interested in teaching in a creative manner in order to transmit knowledge to pupils. With 14 years of teaching experience to various faculties such as medical, dental, physiotherapy, and nursing post graduate students, I learned to focus on weaker portions of the class and constantly strive to involve them by improving my skills and understanding.
Parul Soni: What were your academic responsibilities?
Dr. Rakhee Tirpude: I began my work in the physiology department at NKPSIMS as a professor and teacher in charge of nursing students in the physiology department. I then moved on to become the physiotherapy teacher in charge. In my term as physiotherapy Incharge, the results improved dramatically from 35% to 85%. At the moment, I am responsible for medical students.
Parul Soni: What is your outlook on life?
Dr. Rakhee Tirpude: As a Physiologist, I have always believed in homeostasis and the need to live in peace with others. My outlook on life is positive, and I always push others and myself to achieve our goals. I aim to be calm in both excellent and terrible circumstances and maintain my excitement. My strengths of adaptability, organization, and empathy keep me calm.
Parul Soni: Apart from the academic activities what all you do in the college?
Dr. Rakhee Tirpude: I am also a member of several college committees like Post Graduate cell, Undergraduate cell, Examination cell, Hostel committee, Art committee, NAAC committee, MET, Anubandha Celebration commitee and actively participate in all activities while attempting to fulfill the tasks bestowed upon me.
Parul Soni: What are your contribution to your department?
Dr. Rakhee Tirpude: I was the primary developer of learning resource material for my department, as well as the creator of different models, charts, PPTS, and test question preparation materials. I also manage a question and MCQ bank, as well as PPTs for my department, and have integrated many fresh things as and when necessary by the MUHS syllabus. I also serve on the departmental IQAC.
