  1. What do you do?

I’m currently working as a Medical Writer for a large medical communication company. I help create medical education content for healthcare providers, patients, and medical students. I also help students prepare for USMLE Examinations in my free time.

  2. What’s the best part of your profession? What made you choose this profession?

The best part of my profession is the satisfaction you get when you see in a person’s eyes that they finally understand a difficult concept that they have been trying to wrap their brain around for a long time, whether it is a student or a patient. I chose medicine because I enjoy listening to people’s stories.

  3. Do you like reading? What was the last thing you read?

Not particularly. Medical school did not help in this regard. I prefer watching videos and listening to audiobooks. Recently I have been listening to the Huberman Lab Podcast lately.

  4. What is your favorite dish?

Pho and Bahn Mi. The best soup and sandwich combination in the world.

  5. How would your friend describe you?
    Great listener, passionate, and comical

  6. Who would you like to travel with?

    With friend(s)

  7. What are your least favorite subjects?

I don’t have a least favorite subject. I appreciate everything I learned during medical school. I’d say that statistics at the time was the hardest and my least favorite, but I now understand the importance of statistics and how it helps us interpret data.

  8. Your favourite subject(s)

    Pharmacology and physiology

  9. What’s something you wish to change about the world?

Everyone in the world should have access to food, water, and the internet. If I could, I would provide this for everyone but particularly all the children around the world.

  10. If your journey was/were a movie, what would it be called?

A Jersey Boy Finds his Way

  11. What are you passionate about?

I’m passionate about teaching and helping students discover that they can achieve anything they put their minds to.

  12. Best/memorable moment

When I cured a woman’s headaches by explaining to her to drink more water. She was orthostatic and getting pounding headaches when she would lay down to sleep.

  13. What do you love to do in your leisure time?

I love to golf and be outdoors. I enjoy watching all sports but particularly American Football.

  14. What do you hate the most?

I try not to use the word hate, but I immensely dislike the Match process for obtaining a medical residency in the United States. It is inefficient and overlooks great future physicians.

  15. If given a choice, what alternate career would you have opted for?

A chef. I love being hands-on and good food always makes everyone happy!

  16. What is your dream travel destination?

    Japan

  17. Where would you like to work in future?

I would like to continue writing. I would also like to teach pharmacology and physiology to medical school students.

  18. Finally, a Quote you relate to.

“Self-doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.”
