3rd Year MBBS Student Booked for Abusing HoD Gynecology at Doon Hospital

The police booked the student on the charges of intentional insult, using offensive words to insult the modesty of a woman, and physical assault.

Recently, a 3rd-year MBBS student has been booked for reportedly misconducting with the HoD gynecology at Doon Hospital over a notice issued to him over his low attendance.

According to the sources, the student reportedly entered the HoD of the gynecology office and shouted abuses at the professor. The student also abused and assaulted the security assistants, who rushed to the HoD’s office.

The incident was notified to the police and Dr. Anurag Agarwal, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital filed a police complaint against the accused student.

The police booked the student on the charges of intentional insult, using offensive words to insult the modesty of a woman, and physical assault. Dr. Agarwal further claimed that the accused student was involved in such acts earlier as well.

Hearing the disturbance, the security assistants rushed to the HoD’s office to stop the student. However, they were also abused and some of them even assaulted.

Assistant Sub-inspector Gopal Singh, who is in charge of the investigation said that an investigation has been initiated during which all those involved in the case would be interrogated, and he also said that nobody has been detained so far.

Inspector Kailash Chandra Bhatt notified that a case had been filed against the accused student, and to probe the issue, the CCTV footage of the hospital was being collected.
