Aaftab Amin Poonawalla opens the door as a woman knocks at residence 93/1 in Lane No. 1 in Chattarpur Pahari in South Delhi on a typical evening. The door then closes as the pair, who had just recently met on a dating app, enter Aaftab's room. A newly purchased refrigerator is kept right outside the entrance, in a dimly lighted area of the home. Aaftab just opened the door for a woman who has no idea that the man she is about to have sex with recently severed his live-in partner Shraddha Vikas Walkar's body into pieces that are still inside the refrigerator, frozen and wrapped in several plastic bags.

However, this woman was not the only person who came to the house and was ignorant that walkar's dismembered body was in the refrigerator. After killing walkar, some of his friends, food delivery people, and many others frequently visited the house. Poonawala kept meeting women on the dating app.

According to Delhi police officers who are looking into walkar's murder, despite the fact that they could see many incense sticks lighted throughout the house, a strong fragrance of room fresheners, and a strong odor of bleach, it never occurred to them that these may possibly be signs of a cover-up.

Walkar was murdered by Poonawalla in May, around a month after they had fled Maharashtra for Delhi against the wishes of her family in order to continue living together. The man confessed to killing her to the police and claimed that he did it because they frequently quarrelled and she had been pressuring him to marry her.

According to sources, Aaftab used to sleep in the same room where the victim's body had been chopped. After placing the face in the refrigerator, he used to inspect it. He also cleaned the refrigerator after getting rid of the body parts.

In describing the inquiry to-date, the officer stated that since Saturday, numerous police teams, forensic experts, and crime teams have been searching the forested area where Poonawala has alleged he dumped Walkar's body parts.

"We found some parts at his place. They are in terrible condition. Most of the found bones seem to be those of a human, at least initially. They have been given to be examined. In order to perform DNA profiling on the retrieved bones, a sample of walkar's father has also been collected, the officer stated.

Aaftab told police that he was inspired by the show's star, Michael C. Hall's Dexter Morgan, who exhibits homicidal tendencies.

It is really frightening when people can’t differentiate between reality and fiction. Web series are made for entertainment and fun purpose. It should not be correlated with real life.

Various studies have shown a high correlation between exposure to violence in media, digital media, and entertainment and the commission of violent acts. Despite this fact, many different reasons might result in violent behavior.

Digital media is consumed by kids, teenagers, and young adults from a number of sources, many of which are portable, available around the clock, and provide both passive and active interaction. Many of these media outlets offer entertainment with heavy doses of violence and depictions of sexual and interpersonal hostility.

Rahim says that the raindrop of Swati-Nakshatra is only one, but its quality changes according to the association. If it falls in a pot, the drop becomes camphor, if it falls in an oyster, it becomes a pearl and if it falls in the mouth of a snake, the same drop becomes poison. We become what we associate with.
