Roop Kishore lived despite being buried. At the site of his burial, a group of stray dogs dug in. It was when the hounds bit Roop Kishore's flesh that he came to. Upon reviving, the 24-year-old made his way out of the vicinity and made contact with some locals, who then transported him to a hospital for medical treatment.

According to Roop Kishore's mother, the four attackers took his son out of their house against their will. The four accused are now escaping arrest, but the police say a thorough investigation is ongoing and that efforts are being made to find them.
