Shankar Mishra's co-passenger shares more details about the unfortunate incident. Dr. Sugata Bhattacharjee, a US-based audiology doctor, was seated at the window seat 8A. Shankar Mishra was seated beside him at seat 8C in the business class.

Dr. Bhattacharjee claimed that he had already had an idea of Mishra being drunk as he noticed Mishra gulping four glasses of single malt whiskey. Dr. Bhattacharjee added that Mishra asked him a question regarding his children thrice.

After feeling uncomfortable by the question, Dr. Bhattacharjee alerted the male purser that Mishra is inebriated. He specifically suggested that they should consider cutting off his alcohol supply.

The series of unfortunate events which followed later shocked, Dr. Bhattacharjee. He describes the entire incident to be "fault at multiple levels." He was bothered by the behavior of the cabin crew and captain.

Dr. Bhattacharjee was perplexed by the fact that the cabin crew coaxed the woman to speak to Mishra after the incident. He also raised his concern about the captain not offering the woman a fresh seat. Reportedly, there were seats available.

He complimented the two staff of the cabin crew who helped the elderly woman clean. He also said that he has always loved traveling with Air India, however, the airline has to take accountability.

He further added that Mishra fell asleep. After waking up when he was sobered, Mishra opened up to Bhattacharjee saying, "Bro, I think I'm in trouble." Dr. Bhattacharjee replied, "Yes, you are." He also wanted to register an official complaint but was instead given a piece of paper.

Dr. Bhattacharjee concluded by looking at the silver lining of the entire situation. He complimented the two staff of the cabin crew who helped the elderly woman clean. He also said that he has always loved traveling with Air India, however, the airline has to take accountability.
