Attendees reported poor crowd management, inadequate traffic planning, and insufficient public transportation, leading to chaos and congestion around the city. The event began at 11 am and lasted till 1 pm, with spectators standing in the scorching sun for 2-3 hours, many holding umbrellas to shield themselves.

Authorities drew flak for underestimating and poorly managing the massive turnout. Emergency workers evacuated several persons who fainted due to exhaustion, providing care in shelters. Chennai Metro increased train frequency only after the event began, leaving many waiting for extended periods.

Following the event, arterial roads were choked, and local trains, buses, and metro stations were jam-packed. The bus stop at Anna Square overflowed with people, and passengers had to walk considerable distances to catch buses or reach train stations.

Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai blamed the DMK government for inadequate arrangements, stating, "The only reason for this is that the DMK government neglected public safety by failing to provide essential amenities and sufficient transportation." State Health Minister M Subramanian defended the state's preparedness, citing two health teams and 40 ambulances with paramedical teams.
