According to the hospital sources, irrespective of age children, students, and the elderly are affected by food poisoning.

Food and Nutrition experts emphasize the role of contaminated water as a significant characteristic in food poisoning cases. With the temperatures increasing, it is necessary to drink more water, but confirming the water purity is important.

Along with water purity, other characteristics that are responsible for food poisoning include bacterial and viral contamination in food, food impurities, consumption of expired or undercooked food, eating of spoiled vegetables and fruits, eating of highly processed foods, and extended storage of foods in hotels and restaurants. To reduce the risk associated with food poisoning, experts suggested consuming home-cooked foods, and fruits and vegetables should be washed thoroughly before consuming.
