A theft occurred late on Monday night in Indore, where a doctor was tricked by a man and his associates whom he had met on a mobile app. The incident occurred in the Dwarkapuri area, raising concerns about safety in the region.

The victim, a resident of Khatiwala Tank and a practitioner with a clinic in Chandan Nagar, reported that he was initially contacted by the main suspect, Harsh alias Bhaiyyu, who claimed his mother urgently needed medical help. Trusting the pretext, the doctor agreed to meet Harsh at a designated location.

However, upon arrival, the situation quickly turned hostile as Harsh, along with others, coerced the doctor into a secluded spot where they forcibly took his money and mobile phone. The victim's identity and qualifications are now under police scrutiny as part of the investigation into the incident.

DCP Rishikesh Meena confirmed the details, stating, "The accused, Harsh alias Bhaiyyu, contacted the doctor through a mobile application and orchestrated the robbery at a secluded spot." The police are actively pursuing leads to apprehend all involved in the crime.

This incident highlights a disturbing trend where doctors are increasingly becoming targets of robbery. Earlier this year, a doctor in Coimbatore was similarly robbed of Rs 70,000 at knifepoint by two unidentified assailants.

Law enforcement agencies across the country are urging caution, especially when responding to requests for urgent medical assistance from unfamiliar sources. As investigations continue into the Indore case, authorities are working to ensure the safety and security of healthcare professionals.

The Dwarkapuri police are coordinating efforts to verify the victim's claims and bring the perpetrators to justice. Residents and professionals are advised to exercise vigilance and prioritize personal safety when engaging with unknown individuals, especially during late hours.
