Female Doctor at IVF Hospital Gets Threat Message on Instagram

According to the FIR, the threatening messages were posted on various social media accounts of the hospital's employees

Tejal Joshi, 44, a doctor at Motherhood IVF Hospital, filed a complaint with the City Cyber Cell after receiving a threatening message on Instagram. The threat mentioned the name of the hospital's director and was also sent to several other hospital employees.

According to the FIR, the threatening messages were posted on various social media accounts of the hospital's employees. The message was in Gujarati but written in the Latin script (English) and was posted under the name Twinkle Patel, who is the hospital’s director. The message read: “Tejal Joshi tu motherhood muki deje baki taro chokaro mari nhkis tu Twinkle Patel thi palo padyo che.” This translates to, “Tejal Joshi, you leave Motherhood or else I will kill your son. You have made an enemy of Twinkle Patel.”

Dr. Joshi, who lives in Serenity Space Vishwas City in Gota, works at Motherhood Hospital and is married to Deepak Patel, a bullion dealer. They have a 16-year-old son. On May 21, while Dr. Joshi was at the hospital in Nadiad, Mahima Chauhan, a staff nurse at the Ahmedabad hospital, informed her about receiving a threatening message on Instagram and asked her to check her own account.

Hospital PRO Sagar Prajapati then checked Dr. Joshi's Instagram and found that an unknown person had posted a threat on May 19 from a fake account named Seljuh. Since the message included the name of the hospital director, Twinkle Patel, Dr. Joshi called her. Twinkle Patel confirmed that similar messages had been received by many of the hospital’s employees.

Dr. Joshi immediately submitted an application to the City Cyber Cell and lodged an FIR. A source in the Cyber Cell mentioned they are currently tracking the IP address from which the threats were made and have contacted Instagram for further information.

The threats have caused significant concern among the staff at Motherhood IVF Hospital, leading to an ongoing investigation to identify the person behind these messages.
