In Pune, at Muktotsav, the Festival of Freedom, Dr. Pramod Tripathi was praised by Dr. Banshi Saboo, Diabetologist, Chair-Elect-IF SE Asia; Dr. Peter Schwartz, President-Elect International Diabetes Federation; and Padma Shri Dr. Shashank Joshi, Senior Endocrinologist and Diabetologist, Past Chair-IDF SE Asia. These three doctors were famous experts from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), which constitutes 240 national diabetes associations in 160 countries.

This Muktosav is an annual event of Freedom from Diabetes (FFD), which is a healthcare organization founded by Dr. Pramod Tripathi. The event was celebrated for individuals who passed the glucose tolerance test, and the main focus of the program was basically altering the diet and lifestyle of individuals.

The program is based on four factors: exercise, diet, medication, and transformation of the inner self. This program is a comprehensive approach that focuses on the physical and mental well-being of the individual.

According to an official statement from FFD, as a part of the program, more than 15,000 individuals with diabetes have withdrawn their need for insulin and other medicines. The results of this program were published at international conferences like ADA (American Diabetes Association) and EASD (European Association for the Study of Diabetes).

Dr. Shashank Joshi praised the members of FFD and the participants who had passed the glucose tolerance test. He said that the diet and exercise methods of FFD are game changers in diabetes globally. He also addressed Dr. Pramod Tripathi as ‘Dr. Roy Taylor of India.’

Dr. Peter Schwarz praised the members of the program and emphasized how it is important to prevent diabetes. He also supported Freedom from Diabetes initiatives on acknowledging people about diet control and physical activity for managing diabetes, obesity, and endocrine disorders.

Dr. Pramod Tripathi has taken the initiative to create awareness about diabetes through his program since 2013, and he aims to control diabetes in 100,000 individuals by 2025. He said that it is challenging to control diabetes because many individuals are undiagnosed and unaware of it, their condition is discovered only after it becomes serious.
