Guidelines For Stipends in NBE-Accredited Post-MBBS, DNB, DrNB, and FNB Programs

New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) recently called for applications from hospitals and institutions aiming for NBE accreditation for Post MBBS Diploma, DNB, DrNB, and FNB courses. The information brochure provided by the NBE outlines comprehensive guidelines for accredited institutions, including the stipend policy for their medical professionals.

According to the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences(NBEMS) stipend guidelines the hospitals and institutes seeking to offer DNB/DrNB courses in various board, super specialty and fellowship courses must pay trainees a stipend.

The stipend policy also states that hospitals must pay Diploma trainees either the basic stipend prescribed by NBEMS or the state Government policy(Whichever is higher). For the post MBBS diploma , NBEMS prescribes a minimum stipend of Rs 35,000/-, and for the second year, Rs 37,000/-, totalling Rs 72,000.
