The Telangana Food Safety Department’s task force conducted raids on Saturday at an ice cream parlor and a restaurant located in Hyderabad’s Himayatnagar. The task force found fungus and unhygienic conditions during their raids.

They found expired products such as cheese, brown sugar, ATC spices, syrup, and sandwich bread at Clove Vegetarian Fine Dine. They also discovered live cockroaches in the ice cream storage unit and fungus-infected carrots, which made them unsuitable for consumption.

Further, the task force found cooked vegetable biryani under unhygienic conditions in the fridge. Based on the results of the inspection, the Food Safety Department decided to issue notifications and adjudication proceedings.

This is not the first time such unhygienic conditions have been found in Hyderabad restaurants. Earlier, the residents also communicated concerns regarding the quality of the food served in the city's various restaurants.

It is still unknown what action the task force team will take against Hyderabad's restaurant and ice cream parlor.
