A physiotherapist from Hyderabad made an attempt to show that a car accident was the reason behind the deaths of his wife and two young daughters, but police discovered the fraud and detained him on Sunday. Boda Praveen was arrested 45 days following the event in the Khammam district.

The family was traveling from Hyderabad to their hometown village in the Khammam area on May 28 when the incident happened. Initially, Praveen stated that his wife, Boda Kumari, 26, and their two and three-year-old kids, had died when their car struck a roadside tree.

But a probe at the accident scene made the investigators suspicious. After more investigation, it became clear that Praveen had planned the whole thing to hide the murders.

According to Khammam ACP SV Ramanamurthy, Praveen, a 32-year-old physiotherapist, had an extramarital affair with a hospital coworker.

The couple got into a furious quarrel after his wife discovered the affair. Seeing his family as a barrier to his illicit relationship, Praveen made the decision to get rid of them.

Praveen gave his wife a deadly injection while pretending to be taking care of her medical condition. He killed his daughters by strangulation when Kumari died away.

In an attempt to hide the killings as a tragic accident, Praveen went on to stage the accident by smashing the car into a tree. After a thorough police investigation, the real nature of the crime was discovered, and Praveen was taken into custody on Sunday.
