IAF's Dornier Airlifts Liver to Save Army Veteran's Life in Delhi

In a courageous quick intervention, the Indian Air Force (IAF) recently used its Dornier aircraft to airlift a team of surgeons from the Army Hospital in Delhi on a critical mission: transferring a life-saving liver from Pune to Delhi. A successful liver transplant at the Army Hospital (Research & Referral) in Delhi helped save the life of an army veteran.
The mission carried out on short notice on the night of February 23, demonstrated the IAF's adaptability and dedication to serving the nation. The Dornier aircraft played an important role in transporting the medical team quickly, demonstrating the force's commitment to accurately execute difficult jobs.


The IAF released photographs of the aircraft and the medical crew on X, highlighting the coordinated effort that led to the successful transplant.
