The announcement states that the total cost of the MBBS program has increased from Rs 9.05 lakh to Rs 9.50 lakh at four government medical institutions located in Amritsar, Patiala, Faridkot, and Mohali.

For management quota seats in all private medical colleges, the MBBS full course price has risen from Rs 55.25 lakh to Rs 58.02 lakh. The cost to apply for a private college government quota seat has increased from Rs 21.48 lakh to Rs 22.54 lakh.

A government quota reserves 50% of the seats in all private medical colleges. A 15% NRI quota and a 35% management quota make up the remaining 50% of seats. The NRI quota seat fee structure, which is $1.10 lakh, has not changed.

The MBBS course cost structure at CMC, Ludhiana, remains unchanged.

Chintpurni College is closed for admission.

Due to alleged shortcomings, admission to the 150-seat Chintpurni Medical College and Hospital in Pathankot has been banned for the current academic year.

This college had previously closed applications for two academic years (2017–18 and 2018–19).
