After her friend rejected her proposal of marriage, the nurse committed suicide by injecting herself with anesthesia at a hostel in Kachiguda.
A. Rama (age 23), a resident of Jayashankar Bhupalapally, was employed as a staff nurse in a hospital in Kondapur. She also resided in a hostel in Kachiguda with her sister and a few friends.
For the past five years, Rama has been friends with Sandeep, a relative. Sandeep, however, turned down her proposal of marriage.
Because of her depression, Rama gave herself three small anesthetic injections. She was found unconscious in the room and was rushed to a hospital where doctors pronounced her dead.N Subash, Sub Inspector, Kachiguda
The police have opened an investigation and filed a case. The body was moved to the mortuary of Osmania General Hospital so that a postmortem could be performed. The body was given to the family following an autopsy.
