NIMS Doctor Injects Herself with Anesthesia to End Her Life

According to officials, a 46-year-old physician employed by the government-run Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences committed suicide in her Hyderabad home.

The deceased, who was also a professor in the hospital's anesthesia department, is thought to have given herself an anesthetic injection on June 5, according to reports.

Her husband, a physician, noticed that she was not answering the phone.

On June 5, she returned to the apartment after working at the hospital. With the assistance of his neighbors, he forced open the door and discovered his wife unconscious, a police officer at the Begumpet police station said on Sunday.

The official said that after being taken to a hospital, she was declared dead.

The official stated that an investigation is underway to determine why she took such drastic measures and a case was opened to investigate it.
