Parents try to make sure their children are following a safe and healthy life lifestyle, but in a recent viral video, a mother destroys her 20-month-old child's life by forcing her to feed the harmful substances. The disturbing incident was disclosed on the internet where a mother from Assam's Silchar was forcing her 20-month-old child to smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol. Based on the complaint received to the local child helpline number related to the bizarre act, the child and mother are in the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) custody.

According to reports, a woman Sangeeta Roy lived in the Chencoorie Road area of Silchar, Chenkuri, Asam. In recent a viral video, showed that she forced her child to smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol. Soon after that, the local child helpline cell received the complaint about the harmful act of Sangeeta with proof video and photographs.

Instead of regretting her shameful act, she has accepted it with no regret or guilt, and claimed 'they were partying in the house'.

The police quickly arrived at Sangeeta's residence, rescued the child, and arrested her for interrogation. One social media user said, "Child should be given for adoption to a loving and responsible family! She is not fit to be a mother. In foreign countries, she would have been in jail for a long time".

The second user said, "Why would she do that?? If this was the US, the kid would be taken away by child protective services and the woman arrested for child abuse which attracts 2-20 years of jail and a financial fine. "Gone are the days when women were considered the epitome of empathy, and compassion. Nowadays they are even worse than men as they claimed," the third user claimed.
