The disturbing incident was disclosed on the internet where a mother from Assam's Silchar was forcing her 20-month-old child to smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol. Based on the complaint received to the local child helpline number related to the bizarre act, the child and mother are in the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) custody.
According to reports, a woman Sangeeta Roy lived in the Chencoorie Road area of Silchar, Chenkuri, Asam. In recent a viral video, showed that she forced her child to smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol. Soon after that, the local child helpline cell received the complaint about the harmful act of Sangeeta with proof video and photographs.
Instead of regretting her shameful act, she has accepted it with no regret or guilt, and claimed 'they were partying in the house'.
The police quickly arrived at Sangeeta's residence, rescued the child, and arrested her for interrogation.
