A patient admitted to a government hospital in Thrissur hit the doctor who was treating his injury.

Suddheesh, a 42-year-old patient from Chittilappily, was admitted to the hospital after suffering an injury on Wednesday during the early hours of the day. He was treated by the doctor on duty, Dr. Kiran Gopal, at the government medical college and hospital.

Dr. Kiran Gopal treated the injury of Suddheesh, who suffered an injury at a bar in Muthuvara due to a clash. Sudheesh attacked the doctor, who was cleaning his wounds. He held the neck of the doctor tightly and pushed him to the wall. The doctor was rescued immediately by the staff nurse, Muhammed Nizar, who witnessed the incident. The other doctors on duty, along with the nurse, also helped to rescue the doctor, who was attacked by the patient. The door of the procedure room in the casualty ward was smashed by the patient in the hospital.

A complaint was sent by Dr. N. Sunilkumar, superintendent of the hospital, to the medical college police regarding the incident. The patient, Sudheesh, was taken away from the hospital after the incident by his relatives.

Similarly, in Assam at Dibrugar, three people attacked the doctor on duty, Dr. Abhishek Garodia, at Margherita Civil Hospital. Those people hit the doctor over the unavailability of the rabies vaccine in the hospital.

Those people who attacked were accompanying the patient who was injured due to a dog bite. Knowing the unavailability of the vaccine in the hospital, those people took the patient to a nearby pharmacy, and the patient received the rabies vaccine in the pharmacy.

After receiving the vaccine, the group of people returned to the hospital and initiated an argument with the doctor over the non-availability of the vaccine, and this argument led to a physical assault on the doctor. An FIR was lodged against the people who assaulted the doctor.
