Pit Bull Attacks 15-Year-old Boy in Ghaziabad

CCTV footage showed that the neighbors near the scene did not intervene to save the boy, fearing a pit bull

In a horrifying incident, a pit bull attacked a 15-year-old boy in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday afternoon. The complete incident was recorded on CCTV.

The 15-year-old boy is identified as Altaf. According to the CCTV footage, two boys were standing near the gate of a house. Suddenly a pit bull came out and started attacking Altaf. Altaf lost his balance and fell to the ground. The dog jumped on him and attacked the boy. The boy tried to get up, fighting the dog to save himself.

CCTV footage showed that the neighbors near the scene did not intervene to save the boy, fearing a pit bull. Someone threw water to distract the dog. The boy was able to get up and ran towards the neighbor's home, but still the pit bull followed him, at the same time the stray dogs came to the rescue and started attacking the pit bull. The boy finally managed to escape from the pit bull and closed the gate of the house where he went and saved himself.

Dog attacks on people, especially on children are increasing. Considering the situation last month, the central government banned the sale and breeding of 23 ferocious dogs including American Bulldog and Pit Bull Terrier.
