As the country is gearing up for the consecration ceremony of the Lord Ram temple at Ayodhya on January 22, pregnant women at Kanpur’s largest government hospital wish for their child to be born on that day. Expectant mothers and their family members are requesting doctors to schedule their deliveries on January 22, as it is deemed an auspicious day.
Dr. Seema Dwivedi, in charge of the obstetrics and gynecology department at Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial College, enunciates that they are receiving written requests daily from around 14 to 15 families in the labor room for the deliveries, primarily on January 22. The mothers acknowledged that Lord Ram is the symbol of heroism, integrity, and obedience. Accordingly, the babies that will be born on the day of the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram at the temple, which is on January 22, will also have the same qualities. The doctor also expressed that it was unattainable to ensure normal deliveries, so we explained to those needing surgery that the dates could be adapted within a proper period.
The families emphasized their eagerness for the arrival of their children to coincide with the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla at the temple in Ayodhya. The families also intend to name their children after Lord Ram. Requests for cesarean sections on January 22 came from across the districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Dr. Dwivedi said the hospital executed 14 to 15 operations per day, so to acclimate to the need, the hospital has organized around 30 operations to perform on January 22. It is distressing that the family members anticipate that we will oversee the intricacies that may occur for the mother and the baby by doing so. Psychologist Divya Gupta told PTI, depicting the motive behind the delivery date of January 22. People believe that if a child is born at an auspicious time, it will have a positive effect on the child's personality.
The first phase of Ram temple construction is approaching completion. The Vedic ceremony for the Ram Lalla (infant Lord Ram) Pran-Pratishtha ceremony is scheduled for January 16, and for the ceremony, a 51-inch-tall Krishnashila idol of Lord Ram has been selected. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to participate in the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22 in Ayodhya. The Shubh Muhurat will commence on January 22 at 12:45 p.m. and end on January 23 at 1 a.m. Approximately 4,000 saints and priests from 140 distinct groups will participate in the ceremony.
