Pune Porsche Crash: Family, Doctors Involved in Cover-up, Police Reveal

Shocking new developments have emerged in the high-profile Porsche crash case in Pune, where a teenager allegedly drove under the influence of alcohol, resulting in the tragic deaths of two individuals. On Friday, Pune police revealed that multiple members of the accused’s family were also intoxicated at the time of the incident and had allegedly conspired with medical professionals to swap the teen’s blood samples, aiming to manipulate the evidence.

The teenager, who was reportedly driving the ₹ 2.5 crore electric supercar while heavily intoxicated, was implicated in a fatal crash. Witnesses claimed the boy was so inebriated that he could hardly stand at the scene of the accident. However, initial medical reports showed no signs of alcohol in the teen’s system, raising suspicions.

Police investigations led to the uncovering of an elaborate cover-up attempt involving the accused's family and medical staff at Sassoon Hospital. It was revealed that the teen’s father, mother, and brother were all under the influence of alcohol when doctors were allegedly bribed to replace the boy’s blood samples with theirs, in an effort to tamper with the evidence.

Authorities indicated that the original plan was to substitute the teen’s blood sample with that of his father or brother. However, both men were also found to be intoxicated, leaving the mother’s sample as the only viable option. As a result, the mother has been arrested for her involvement in the scheme.

The case has gained considerable public attention, especially after the boy's mother appeared in a video statement denying the accusations. In her message, she claimed that a viral video, which allegedly showed her son at the crash site, was falsified. She also pleaded with authorities to "protect" her son and was seen emotionally breaking down during the appeal.

The police, however, have rejected the family’s narrative and continue to investigate the case. According to the authorities, doctors at Sassoon Hospital were bribed by middlemen, who were acting on behalf of the teen's father. The two medical professionals involved, Dr. Ajay Taware, the head of the Forensic Medicine Department at the time, and Dr. Shrihari Halnor, have both been arrested. They are accused of facilitating the blood sample swap in exchange for a financial payoff. A hospital staffer, Atul Ghatkamble, was also taken into custody, while two other individuals, Ashpak Makandar and Amar Gaikwad, have been detained for acting as intermediaries between the family and the doctors.

The revelations have cast a spotlight on the extent of corruption and manipulation that may have occurred in an attempt to shield the accused from legal consequences. The police remain committed to uncovering the full scope of the conspiracy and ensuring justice for the victims of the fatal crash.
