This innovative procedure offers a transformative alternative to hysterectomy, by addressing the pressing need for effective fibroid treatment while prioritizing patient well-being and fertility preservation. It was spearheaded by leading experts in the field. With growing evidence showing that a staggering 80% of hysterectomies are unguaranteed, it's time to rethink treatment options and strengthen our women with alternatives that preserve their fertility and overall welfare.

Fibroids, which are non-cancerous growths in the uterus, affect millions of women worldwide. It causes symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and pressure. As per statistics, up to 70% of women by age 50 will develop fibroids which emphasizes the urgent need for effective treatment options.

Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), which is a minimally invasive procedure, has gained traction worldwide. UFE presents a compelling solution for those navigating the challenges posed by fibroids. By cutting off the blood supply to fibroids, this intervention effectively reduces symptoms and restores quality of life without resorting to major surgery. Determining redness for UFE involves careful consideration of factors such as the size, number, and location of fibroids, along with the patient's symptoms and fertility desires. While the ideal candidate typically no longer seeks fertility and experiences heavy menstrual bleeding, individual evaluation is essential to adapting treatment plans.

Comprehensive studies and actual outcomes claimed the safety and efficacy of UFE, with an average success rate of approximately 94%. UFE boasts a lower major complication rate compared to traditional surgical options like myomectomy. It provides patients with a  path to symptom relief without sacrificing their uterus.

Dr. Purvez Grant, Chairman and Managing Trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic, said that as a pioneering healthcare institution, Ruby Hall Clinic is committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that enhance the lives of women. Uterine Fibroid Embolization represents a paradigm shift in fibroid treatment, empowering women with a non-invasive option that ensures symptom relief while preserving their reproductive health.
