In recent raids in Telangana district, officials found medications being distributed in the market with false advertising claims:
Ureecet Capsules - Claimed to treat kidney stones; manufactured by MGL Pharma, Peerzadiguda, Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
Ashwagandha Lehyam (Ayurvedic Medicine) - Claimed to cure impotence; manufactured by Nature World Herbals, Nagaram, Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
Sri Sri Tattva Kshirabala Taila (Ayurvedic Medicine) - Claimed to treat menstrual disorders; manufactured by Sriveda Sattva Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore (South), Karnataka.
Mahanarayan Tail (Ayurvedic Medicine) - Claimed to treat nervous system disorders; manufactured by Aura Neutraceuticals Ltd., Gujarat.
Diabo Booti Capsules (Ayurvedic Medicine) - Claimed to cure diabetes; manufactured by Levanza Food and Herbals, Gholu Majra, Dappar, Punjab.
Slim & Fit Juice (Ayurvedic Medicine) - Claimed to reduce obesity; manufactured by Almighty Agro Industry, Sanganer.
STONKRUSH Syrup (Ayurvedic Medicine) - Claimed to cure kidney stones; manufactured by Surya Herbal LifeSciences, Panchkula, Haryana.
According to the DMROA 1945, advertising treatments for conditions such as kidney stones, impotence, diabetes, nervous system disorders, and obesity is prohibited as these conditions cannot be cured by medication alone and require other interventions. Therefore, these claims are considered false advertising.
The officers involved in detecting these drugs were Sri J. Nagaraju, Drugs Inspector, Saroornagar; Sri B. Praveen, Drugs Inspector, Shameerpet; Sri M. Chandrasekhar, Drugs Inspector, Patancheru; Smt. Sk. Rabiya, Drugs Inspector, Narayanpet; Sri L. Raju, Drugs Inspector, Hayathnagar; Smt. L. R. D. Bhavani, Drugs Inspector, Siricilla; and Smt. A. Srilatha, Drugs Inspector, Adilabad.

A thorough investigation will be carried out, and action will be taken according to the law against all the companies involved. The punishment for false advertising under DMROA can include imprisonment of up to six years, with or without a fine.
