Thief Enters Lucknow's Doctor House, Turns on AC, Falls Asleep Instead of Robing

On the evening of June 1st, a man named Kapil 19 years old entered Dr. Sunil Pandey's house in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh to rob. But, he was too drunk and found the Air Conditioner (AC) in the house, he switched it on and fell asleep on the floor.

Dr. Pandey was posted in Varanasi in case of his work as his Lucknow house was locked and took advantage of this, thief Kapil entered Dr. Pandey's Lucknow house to steal. The thief broke the front gate and entered the house, he moved toward the drawing area of the house and noticed the AC turned on. He then comfortably laid down on the floor and fell asleep on the cushion placing his head on it.

On the next day morning, neighbors of Dr. Pandey's Lucknow house noticed the front gate of the house was open, they quickly informed Dr. Pandey and he contacted the police.

He was heavily drunk because of this he fell asleep and could not wake up. It was reported by the neighbors, after which he was arrested.

Police arrived on the spot, they found that the man was sleeping peacefully holding a cell phone in his right hand and the AC was running. DCP North Zone R Vijay Shankar said the man entered the house intending to steal but fell asleep.

The police said the thief had even taken the water pump. Due to extreme drunkenness, he dozed off and was unable to wake up. "He was taken into custody and he has been identified as Kapil booked under IPC section 379 (theft)," said SHO Ghazipur (Indiranagar) Vikas Rai.
