Toddler Triumphs: One-Year-Old Boy Bites and Kills a Snake in Bihar

MBT Desk

A shocking incident occurred in Bihar's Gaya district, where a one-year-old child mistakenly identified a snake as a toy and bit it, resulting in the snake's death. This astonishing event highlights the unpredictable nature of young children and their curiosity-driven actions.

The toddler was playing on the terrace, exploring his surroundings, when he picked up the snake, unaware of the potential danger. His mother, who was nearby, discovered the dead snake next to her child and immediately took him to a local community health center.

Fortunately, the child was unharmed and healthy, leaving his family and medical professionals astonished. The child's innocence and lack of fear towards the snake led to this unexpected outcome. A viral video circulating on social media shows the child with a woman, while a man tries to open the boy's mouth, displaying an image of the crushed snake on his phone.

The snake was identified as non-venomous and commonly found in the region during the monsoon season. This revelation brought relief to the family, knowing their child was not exposed to a life-threatening species.

A similar incident occurred in July when a man from Bihar's Rajauli was bitten by a snake while sleeping. In a desperate attempt to save himself, he bit the snake back, believing it would neutralize the poison. This unconventional method surprisingly worked, and the snake died. The man survived with medical treatment, thanks to prompt action.

Another bizarre case in Uttar Pradesh's Soura village involved a snake repeatedly biting 24-year-old Vikas Dubey. Local authorities took action after reports of Dubey being bitten seven times in 40 days. This unusual series of events raised concerns about the snake's behavior and potential threats to human safety.

Dubey survived six snake bites between June 2 and July 6, receiving medical treatment each time. His resilience and luck are commendable, considering the frequency and severity of the bites.
