Pranks are intended to be fun and harmless, but some individuals disregard limits and the safety of others. This was tragically evident in Uttar Pradesh, where a 21-year-old boy named Akash Kumar lost his life due to an extreme prank involving a compressor pipe.

Akash Kumar, a resident of Civil Lines in Moradabad, worked in a factory alongside his cousin, Ravi Kumar, who was the perpetrator of this reckless act. Ravi and a co-worker made a bet to carry out a prank by inserting a compressor pipe into Akash's rectum. Shockingly, Ravi Kumar followed through with this dangerous bet and turned on the machine connected to the pipe.

The sudden release of air from the machine ruptured Akash's intestines, causing severe injuries. He immediately collapsed and was rushed to a local hospital, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to the seriousness of his condition. However, given the extent of his injuries, he was later transferred to a hospital in Delhi. Tragically, Akash died during the transfer. He was the youngest of six siblings, leaving behind a grieving family.

As his condition worsened on Friday, Akash, who was the youngest of six siblings, was moved to a medical facility in Delhi, and he died on the way.

Akash's mother, Prabha Devi, filed a case against Ravi Kumar at the Majhola police station. As a result, Ravi was arrested under charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The incident occurred on September 15, and Akash's body has been sent for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. In 2021, a similar tragedy occurred when a man named Aslam Khan, a resident of Madhan in the Asmoli area of Sambal, died after his colleagues inserted a compressor pipe and filled it with air. This incident took place at an export company in Moradabad's Pakbara area, highlighting a disturbing trend of extreme pranks resulting in fatal consequences.

This heartbreaking event serves as a sobering reminder of the potential dangers of pranks that cross the line into recklessness. It calls for greater awareness and responsibility among individuals, especially the youth, to understand the serious implications of their actions.
