A private hospital's ward boy filmed a female patient undergoing surgery after she was undressed, and he then posted the video to social media in an embarrassing incident that surfaced in Uttar Pradesh's Basti. Following widespread outrage over the ward boy's post of the video on WhatsApp, the health department was compelled to look into the situation.

The woman is shown lying in the operating room, reportedly naked, and the ward boy was helping doctors with the procedure. The ward boy captured the process on camera and posted it to his social media pages. Those who watched the video and shared it on social media called for the ward boy to be held accountable for his disgusting behavior. The event happened at the Basti Care Multispecialty Hospital and Eye Center in Hardiya, where the patient was admitted before her surgery.

The ward boy reportedly stated that he carried out the woman's surgery at the request of Basti Care Multispecialty Hospital and Eye Center head Dr. Sanjay Kumar when the video became viral on social media. Sanjay Gautam, however, denied knowledge of the occurrence when approached by an NTF. He said that the hospital administration would look into the case and take appropriate action against the ward boy for his shameful behavior.

In addition to saying that the guilty will not be spared, the health department has assembled a team to look into the situation. A comprehensive investigation will be carried out following the Medical Officer-in-Charge's (MOIC) visit to the hospital to look into the event, according to the department. The department made it very apparent that any kind of negligence will not be accepted, and anyone found guilty will be subjected to the worst penalties possible for their shameful behaviour.

No formal complaint has been filed in relation to the matter, according to the police. They stated, "In the above case, investigation is being carried out by CMO Basti by forming a team, no complaint has been received at the police station, other necessary legal action will be taken upon receipt."

The incident has brought to light the terrible condition of Uttar Pradesh's healthcare system under the BJP government. Many instances of hospital administration negligence that resulted in patients losing their lives have surfaced from Uttar Pradesh. The state government ought to be aware of the dire situations facing healthcare facilities and take the appropriate action to prevent future instances of these kinds of incidents.
