According to sources, Dr. Srivastava had been dealing with mental health issues for some time, with many of his colleagues suggesting he was battling depression. They revealed that he had been showing signs of distress, which had become more apparent in recent weeks.

Dr. Kartikeya Srivastava worked as a junior resident in the orthopedic department of SRN Hospital. His colleagues also noted that he had a medical condition affecting his leg, which made it difficult for him to stand for extended periods. Despite this, he had attended the operation theater the same Saturday morning before being found dead later that day.

The police have initiated an autopsy, and the final report is expected to shed more light on the exact cause of death. However, investigators are not ruling out the possibility that the young doctor’s mental health may have played a significant role in the tragedy.

Dr. Srivastava lived with his parents in Georgetown, Prayagraj, and had recently returned to work after a period of leave. Those close to him reported that his leg condition had contributed to his struggles, both physically and emotionally. His family and friends are now left to mourn the sudden and heartbreaking loss.

DCP Bharti mentioned that while it is too early to determine the cause of death, the vials of anesthesia and syringe found in the car are currently the main focus of the investigation. As they await the autopsy results, investigators are conducting interviews with Dr. Srivastava’s colleagues and friends to gather further insights into his mental state in the days leading up to his untimely death.
