Pediatrician Dalton Renick's medical license in Virginia, US, has been suspended due to many allegations of suspected sexual misconduct and "disruptive behavior," according to WDBJ7. The violations took place between August 2021 and February 2024, according to a Virginia Department of Health report that the station was able to get. Renick exhibited inappropriate behavior, according to the investigation, which includes calling a newborn "stupid," using foul language in front of patients—some of whom were minors—making racial statements, and drawing comparisons between syringe feeding and sexual acts.

Previously, Renick worked for Carilion Clinic; more recently, he was hired by Blacksburg's New Beginnings Pediatrics. Regarding the accusations, both groups released statements.

“The claims contained in the BOM Notice of Hearing are concerning to us, and we take such allegations very seriously. While we can confirm that Dr. Renick’s employment was terminated on February 8, 2024, at the conclusion of a confidential employment investigation, we are unable to provide any comments or details regarding this personnel matter. We continue to cooperate with the Board of Medicine as they investigate this matter," Carilion Clinic told WDBJ.

New Beginnings Pediatrics stated," On August 22 we were made aware of concerning allegations against Dr. Dalton Renick. This was not made accessible to the public, including us, until then and we have responded as fast as possible. As a result, **effective immediately Dr. Renick is no longer employed or has any association with New Beginnings Pediatrics.** While at this time we have not received any complaints at New Beginnings, but we are taking this seriously and will cooperate with the investigation as needed. He will no longer be seeing any of our patients. We remain committed to providing the best care possible to our families and will protect our patients and their families at all costs."
