A 28-year-old woman named Babita Devi lost her life during a sterilization surgery performed by a junior staff member at a private healthcare center in Samastipur, Bihar. The incident, which occurred in the town of Musrigharari, has sparked outrage and calls for accountability.

Babita Devi's relatives had taken her to the Anisha Healthcare Center for a routine sterilization procedure. However, they were informed that no doctor was available at the center. Despite this, the surgery went ahead, conducted by a compounder rather than a qualified medical professional.

Babita Devi arrived at the healthcare center around 9 a.m., where she was administered saline water. By 11 a.m., the procedure had started. However, just an hour later, she was quickly transferred to a hospital in Mohanpur, approximately 10 kilometers away. It was during this transfer that Babita Devi tragically passed away.

We brought her here around 9 am. They administered her saline water. Around 11 am, they started the procedure. About an hour later, they put her into an ambulance and rushed her to a hospital in Mohanpur.

The lack of communication from the healthcare center staff is one of the contributing factors to this distressing incident. Babita Devi's family members were not informed of her deteriorating condition, only discovering her passing when they attempted to inquire about her well-being. The absence of transparency in such a critical situation has logically increased the family's pain.

Upon confirming Babita Devi's death, her relatives returned her body to the Anisha Healthcare Center, where they staged a protest demanding justice. They expressed concern over the apparent absence of doctors in Musrigharari town, highlighting the dependence on junior staff to perform medical procedures. They believe this situation puts patients' lives at risk.

We are investigating the matter, and action will be taken against those responsible.
Faizul Ansari, Local Police Station In-Charge

Local authorities responded immediately, with the police conducting an investigation into the situation. Faizul Ansari, the in-charge of the local police station, has assured the public that appropriate action will be taken against those found responsible for Babita Devi's untimely demise.

Meanwhile, the staff of the Anisha Healthcare Center are currently avoiding authorities, further complicating the situation. Babita Devi's disappointed relatives are demanding legal action against each individual involved in the incident, seeking accountability for the loss of their loved one.
