East Yorkshire (UK): Megan Royle, 33, was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2019.

Megan has received compensation after being misdiagnosed with cancer with 2 years of nonessential treatment.  The misdiagnosis not only sent shockwaves to her life but also her well-being. She went through a surgical procedure, which mainly led to unnecessary physical and emotional pain.

Megan's story mainly highlights the importance of accurate medical diagnoses.As per WHO, Megan was given the all-clear in 2021; according to reviews, she never had cancer, and she has now won this case with help from the two NHS trusts involved.

Ms. Royle said that no one can believe that something like this can happen, and she does not have any explanation for this.

She spent two years believing that she had cancer, and Megan went through all the treatment. Then she came to know that she had no cancer at all, and that was totally shocking. Yes, although it was relieving news, Megan's greatest emotion was frustration and anger.

She wasn’t in a good place for quite some time. The emotional trauma caused by this misdiagnosis left long-term scars to her mentally and physically

The news outlet further reported that Ms. Royle has won an out-of-court settlement from the two London NHS trusts involved.

As per the news outlet, Megan successfully won this case with the help of two London NHS trusts and won compensation.

A spokesperson from the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust offered their apologies to Ms. Royle for the misdiagnosis.
