In a remarkable demonstration of medical expertise and unwavering determination, Dr. Astha Tiwari at Getwell Hospital achieved the extraordinary feat of saving a patient whose survival odds were as low as 10%. The patient, whose condition was critical upon arrival, was suffering from sudden blindness, a symptom that persisted for an alarming hour. What unfolded next was a cascade of medical emergencies that tested both the skill and resilience of the medical team led by Dr. Tiwari.

Upon examination, it was revealed that the patient was not only six months pregnant but also grappling with dangerously high blood pressure, reaching a concerning level of 200/110 mmHg. Understanding the gravity of the situation, Dr. Tiwari wasted no time in conveying the severity of the patient's condition to her and her attendants. Swift action was imperative, and the patient was promptly admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for close monitoring.

However, the urgency escalated when the patient experienced a severe eclamptic seizure, a life-threatening event, particularly perilous in pregnant women. In response to the critical situation, Dr. Tiwari made the decision to perform an emergency cesarean section (LSCS). Tragically, despite the medical team's best efforts, the baby was stillborn. The emotional toll of such a loss was compounded when the patient suffered yet another eclamptic seizure post-surgery, further complicating her medical management.

Through meticulous care and vigilant monitoring, Dr. Tiwari and her team at Getwell Hospital succeeded in stabilizing the patient's condition, marking a turning point in her arduous journey to recovery. Over the ensuing days, gradual improvement was witnessed, and the patient's condition stabilized significantly, a testament to the effectiveness of the medical intervention undertaken.

Dr. Tiwari's intervention not only secured the patient's survival but also underscored the lethal potential of antepartum eclampsia, a condition with a perilously high mortality rate if left unchecked.

Additionally, it's noteworthy that the patient's husband, Dr. Upendra Tiwari, a distinguished orthopedic surgeon from Mhow, has also been instrumental in saving countless lives through his expertise in treating critical injuries and preserving limbs.
