Patients at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur, Rajasthan are facing challenges in obtaining the exact dosages of medicines prescribed by their doctors. While the hospital assures that it has all the necessary medications in stock, it admits that not every dosage or variation of each medicine is readily available.

In response, the Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation Limited (RMSCL) and the heads of all medical institutions have been instructed to take immediate action to ensure a consistent supply of medicines across hospitals. Shubhra Singh, the additional chief secretary for health, emphasized that the supply of medicines under the Chief Minister's Free Medicine Scheme is being closely monitored. The aim is to achieve 100% availability of medicines in all healthcare facilities. RMSCL has been directed to maintain adequate stock levels for all medicines and to ensure full compliance with stock management guidelines.

Dr. Sushil Bhati, the superintendent of SMS Hospital, reiterated that there is currently sufficient availability of medicines at the hospital. However, efforts are being made to address any gaps in the availability of specific dosages to ensure that patients receive the exact medications they need.
