The All FMG’s Association (AFA), sharing a post on X, said that “it seems like a confidential letter from the NBEMS has been leaked, which contains all the sensitive details of the NEET PG 2024 Exam." With only a few days left for the exam, the AFA has raised concerns about the leaked sensitive details and asked whether the question paper will be secured.

However, the official sources speaking on the matter clarified that the details leaked do not contain sensitive information and only include general instructions.

The letter was written by Dr. Abhijat Sheth, President of NBEMS, providing guidelines for the smooth and safe conduct of the NEET PG 2024 Exam on August 11th. In the letter, Dr. Abhijat mentioned that the NBEMS has been given the responsibility of conducting the NEET PG 2024 Exam. He sought support for the smooth conduct of the high-stakes NEET PG 2024 Exam as it was going to be conducted on a pan-India basis by NBEMS. It is going to be held in 169 cities at 376 examination centers for a total of 228542 students.

The letter further included details like:

  1. Examination date

  2. Time of the examination: both morning and afternoon shift timings

  3. At what time students are allowed to enter for the exam

  4. Mode of conduct of examination

  5. Total number of candidates taking the examination

  6. Examination centers—list of centers

  7. Coverage

Dr. Abhijat Sheth also requested to ensure that there is a continuous power supply at the exam centers to avoid disruptions in maintaining the electronic systems and lighting. Internet connectivity must also be ensured at the exam centers, as it is needed to download the question papers and upload candidate responses, and other data to central data centers after the exam. Even though the exam is conducted over LAN, the internet is needed for other activities at the exam center.

Dr. Sheth also stressed the fact that given the high stakes around the exam, adequate security should be employed to prevent any incidents and to manage the crowd and traffic, and also asked to maintain law and order. He asked the state functionaries to take additional measures to preserve the exam’s integrity. He also asked the district administrations to observe and monitor closely within their jurisdiction. He also emphasized that their support would help ensure a fair and seamless examination.

The letter included that, “We trust that with your esteemed support, the examination will be conducted successfully and without any untoward incident for students of your district.”
