I started my journey in Ayurveda at this institute. When I entered first time in 2017, I felt like I have entered a vintage college that was established before India got independence.
The attached hospital was established in 1948 with the aim to provide cheap and effective treatment to socio-economically backward people in the ill-developed area.
The college & Hospital was running under the status of GRANT IN AID of the Gujarat Government. Now from 20.01.2022, the college & hospital are converted into SELF FINANCE status & now it is run by the same trust in the status of a Private College.
The college is affiliated with GAU(Gujarat Ayurveda University).
Both College & hospital are on the same campus situated near Railway Station, Lal Darwaja Road, Surat.
There is an admission(intake) capacity of 50 students every year. College is running only U.G. – Under Graduate of BAMS course. It is the only Government Grant-in-Aid Ayurved college in south Gujarat.
The patients residing surrounding Surat city, and nearby villages in South Gujarat mostly, people of Surat city are taking benefits of Ayurvedic treatment in our hospital. There are many facilities available in the hospital – i.e – a well-equipped Department of Panchkarma, Physiotherapy, Radiology, Sonography & Dental Department. There are regular yoga classes run by yoga guru, full-fledged gym facilities & food facilities for patients & one attendant.

The hospital is also famous for its Shalya(surgery) OPD cases all over Gujarat. OPD Departments in the hospital include Swasthvrutta, Shalakya, Shalya, Kayachikitsa, Panchakarma, Vishachikitsa, and many more. Hospital also has an IPD accommodation.
Goal of the Institute
To nurture the knowledge of Ayurveda through evidence-based education and health care practices.
It is also having its own panchakarma center behind the hospital. Various therapies are daily performed there. The campus also includes a girls' hostel and a mess(canteen) for the students.
Hospital also organizes various camps like camps for the handicapped, camps for diabetes patients, special weekly camps, and many more.
Many panchakarma procedures are performed like Vaman, Virechan, Basti, Nasya, Shirodhara, Snehan, Swedan, and various types of abhyanga(massage), Agni karma, Raktamokshan, etc various procedures are performed.
