    Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi.

  2. What are your areas of interest within your profession? 

    Public Health Nutrition, Lifestyle Disorders, and Eating Patterns.

  3. Things that you are passionate about concerning the clinical/research/current aspects of your profession: 

    Getting those research results that make a real difference to people's lives.

  4. What made you choose teaching or mentoring as a profession?  

    Enjoy learning and being in a learning environment.

  5. According to your experience, what is more important: getting good scores or acquiring knowledge? 

    Acquiring knowledge and using it in real life situations to make things better.

  6. Any 3 topics/subjects that you like the most: 

    Traditional diets, Food security, Eating behaviour.

  7. What are your fields of interest in Research/clinical practice?  

    Traditional diets and Lifestyle disorders.

  8. What are your career goals or expectations? 

    To increase professional knowledge and excel in this field.

  9. What would you be doing if you were not pursuing your current profession?

    Medical profession.

  10. What do you like to do in your leisure time?

    Reading and traveling.

  11. What change would you like to bring about in the education sector?
    If given the opportunity, I would like to introduce a research-based curriculum so that students at a very early age understand the impact and importance of research and will benefit in their professional lives.

  12. What is your mantra for success?
    Keep trying until you achieve it.

  13. Who do you idolize and why?

    Dr. C. Gopalan Sir, as he initiated nutrition research in India after independence. Because of his hard work and dedication, we identified the importance of nutrition and conducted research to improve nutritional health. His research lead to various interventions that include "Integrated child development services", "mid-day meals", "Goiter prevention program", etc.

  14. And finally, what message would you like to give to today's youth?

    Don't lose hope; be smart and patient so that nothing stops you from achieving what you wish to achieve.
