What do you do?
I currently pursuing MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, India.
What’s the best part of your profession? What made you choose this profession?
I personally feel the best part of medicine is learning more about the human body and how it works. I have always been fascinated by how things work, and understanding the intricacies of the human body is fulfilling to me. This curiosity and fascination were the main reasons for choosing this course.
Do you like reading? What was the last thing you read?
Yes, I enjoy reading a lot, although my reading frequency has decreased due to time constraints. I particularly enjoy fiction, and the last thing I read was the "Trials of Apollo" series by Rick Riordan.
What is your favorite dish?
It's difficult to choose among the many dishes I like, but I would say Chole Poori is a safe bet.
How would your friends describe you?
I am not the right person to answer this, but I strive to be trustworthy and approachable.
Who would you like to travel with?
Family, Friend(s)
Mention your favorite subjects.
Physics still fascinates me, although I have very little time to devote to it now. While the subjects related to medicine are interesting, they have not yet surpassed my interest in physics.
What is your least favorite subject?
Since I chose the science stream, Chemistry used to be my least favorite subject. I don't have anything against it, but some parts of it can be quite boring. However, this doesn't apply as much to Biochemistry, as most of the boring parts are not present there. So, it's a win-win situation for me at the moment.
What’s something you wish to change about the world?
I wish parents would stop imposing their dreams on their children. I consider myself fortunate not to have been a victim of this, but I have witnessed many people suffering from it. The world cannot achieve balance if everyone pursues a specific area of interest rather than their own passions or at least what they find interesting.
If your journey were a movie, what would it be called?
Since I haven't completed my journey yet, I cannot predict the future. However, based on my experiences so far, it would probably be called "Clumsily Curious."
What are you passionate about?
I enjoy delving deep into subjects that interest me. For example, when I read something about Quantum Mechanics, I spent two weeks reading books and online resources to learn more about it. Similarly, when I started playing Call of Duty, I found it interesting and dedicated quite a bit of time to it. However, this passion sometimes proves to be detrimental as I allocate less time to my studies, which affects my grades😅.
Best/memorable moment?
The day I received the results for my NEET examination. It may not have been the happiest moment, but it was definitely the most memorable.
What do you love to do in your leisure time?
In my leisure time, I enjoy playing games, playing my guitar, reading books, and spending time with my friends and family.
What do you hate the most?
I dislike not being able to meet others' expectations. While it is said to be true to yourself and not worry about societal expectations, I believe that one must consider society to some extent since we have to live in it.
If given a choice, what alternate career would you have opted for?
If I had the choice, I would have pursued research in some field of Physics at IISc Bangalore.
What is your dream travel destination?
I don't have a specific dream destination. The location itself is not as important to me as having a great time with the people I'm with and enjoying delicious food. I consider the company and food to be better measures of enjoyment than the location itself.
Where would you like to work in the future?
I would like to work in a place that allows me to spend sufficient time with my family and friends. I am grateful to have a family that has always been there for me, and I have never felt that they were not supporting me. I can't imagine not giving back to my family when I have a job.
Finally, a quote you relate to:
"The best way to a person's heart is through their stomach with good food."
What else would you like to tell about yourself?
I don't consider myself to be a very interesting person, and I find it difficult to come up with more information about myself unless asked specific questions. Therefore, I can't think of anything else to share at the moment.
