The best part of my profession is that it enables me to be a medium to bring about a tangible change in the physical functional independence of a person with restricted performance or inability to perform daily living tasks because of any health concern—injury, trauma, disorder, disease, aging, birth defects, etc. Also, as an entrepreneur, my professional engagement enables me to influence budding occupational therapists to be entrepreneurs, and we are working as a team to bring about a "MOVEMENT in an attempt to create mass awareness and understanding of Occupational therapy services across the common man. To answer the second question: I landed up accidentally into the profession; I wasn't aware of Occupational Therapy when I joined the course in 2001 But as it said, either you do what you love or you love what you do. I chose the latter part, and now I am happy to be an occupational therapist.
