Playing online games with someone and falling in love. Unbelievable?

Have a read of this article and see how this unbelievable thing got turned into a real-life incident.

A teenage girl named Iqra, from Pakistan married an Indian guy named Mulayam, after falling in love with him while playing Ludo online. She had no visa and managed to enter India via Kathmandu. The couple mutually decided to live illegally in Bangalore, India. This all started in September 2022 when Iqra went missing from college.

Around 4 months after the incident, in 2023, Bangalore police arrested both Mulayam and Iqra. Mulayam was arrested as he provided shelter to Iqra. Iqra was handed over to Pakistan authorities at Wagah Border, Amritsar.

Iqra's father said, “ She has always been very shy and we still can’t believe how she gathered the courage to go to India, all by herself”.

A teenage girl from Pakistan married an Indian guy after falling in love with him while playing Ludo online.

The family is still in shock as to what has happened.

Sources say, the girl was facing problems in getting a visa and was advised by Mulayam to come to India via Nepal.

Mulayam received Iqra at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport and both got married in Kathmandu and illegally entered India after a week's stay in Nepal. As soon as they started living in India, they even got an Aadhar card for Iqra and she applied for an Indian passport also.

They started staying in Bangalore and presented Iqra as a Hindu girl named Rava in the locality.

Iqra's family runs a business in Hyderabad city in Pakistan. They say that Iqra realized her mistake and she called her mother on WhatsApp from India to tell her about everything that happened. And this was the point where the family got a ray of hope to find their daughter.

The family informed the police in Pakistan about the WhatsApp call and they contacted Pakistan Foreign Office. Pakistan Foreign Office further passed this information to Indian counterparts to look into the matter.

Some of the neighbors got suspicious after seeing Rava offering namaz in a Hindu house. They informed the police and after an investigation, police found her Pakistani passport.

All of this is raising an important question: How a teen girl who is just 16 years old managed to fly all the way from Pakistan to enter India via Nepal?

Later after an investigation, Iqra was repatriated to Pakistan, her native country and Mulayam is still under police custody.
