Recently, in Bihar, the police located a new job scandal, which offered 13 lakh rupees to men for impregnating women who were unable to get pregnant through their partners. Bihar police at Nawada arrested eight people who were running the job scam to lure men into this fraudulent service. They named this scandal “All India Pregnant Job Service” (Baby Birth Service).
According to the police, the accused utilized various social media platforms, including WhatsApp and Facebook, to contact the men. He offered them the opportunity to earn lakhs for their service in return. The interested men were first asked to register by paying INR 799 as a registration fee. After completion of the registration, the accused used to send pictures of some women and asked them to choose a woman whom they wished to impregnate. They also asked the men to deposit a sum of money as a security deposit, ranging from INR 5,000 to 20,000, depending on how attractive the woman was.
Kalyan Anand, Superintendent of Police, Nawada, said that if the woman gets pregnant, they would give INR 13 lakh. They were also promised a consolation price of INR 5 lakh if they failed to impregnate the woman.
The mastermind behind this scandal is Munna Kumar. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Bihar Police executed raids in Nawada at different locales that are linked with Munna Kumar. However, he managed to escape from the location. The police retrieved nine smartphones, a printer, and several data sheets from the site. According to the Superintendent of Police, Kalyan Anand, the arrested men were associated with a larger cybercrime syndicate that is operating all over the nation. Actions are being taken to trace the remaining accused involved in this scam, including the main mastermind behind it.
