A disturbing incident occurred at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Thane, Maharashtra where two women relatives of a patient attacked four doctors and a nurse. The altercation began when the women, aged 36 and 40, accused the medical staff of neglecting their male relative, who had been admitted for three days. They claimed he had not been fed or provided proper care and questioned why he had not been moved to the ICU.
As a doctor attempted to explain the patient's condition and treatment, the women became agitated and physically assaulted him. When three female doctors and a nurse intervened, they too were attacked. The situation escalated into a violent confrontation, leaving the medical staff shaken.
The police reported the incident on Friday, stating that the women had confronted the doctors, accusing them of providing inadequate treatment, but the women became enraged and assaulted one of the doctors.
Legal action has been initiated against the women, confirmed the station house officer of Kalwa police station. The incident is currently under investigation.
