NEW DELHI: In a shocking incident in outer-north Delhi's Bawana industrial area, a factory worker lost his life after being allegedly pushed off a building's terrace by a coworker. The fatal dispute erupted over a trivial matter - two chapatis (rotis) - according to police reports. Authorities confirmed the incident occurred on Thursday. The victim has been identified as Ram Parkash.

On October 29, tragedy struck during Diwali preparations in Sector 1, Bawana. Ram Parkash and his coworker, Deepak, were decorating the factory rooftop when the fatal incident occurred, according to police reports.

A senior police officer reported that Ram Parkash was confronted by Aslam, a worker from a nearby factory, who eyewitnesses claim has a history of alcoholism.

According to the officer, Ram Parkash was decorating on the fourth floor when Aslam, the accused, approached him from the roof of a neighboring factory and asked for two chapatis. Parkash replied that he hadn't prepared any, setting off a chain of events that would ultimately lead to tragedy.

According to the officer's initial investigation, when Aslam requested two rotis, Ram Parkash refused, suggesting that Aslam buy them himself since he earned enough to afford his own meals.

Ram Parkash's refusal to give Aslam free rotis sparked a fierce argument, with Aslam verbally abusing Parkash before the dispute turned physical. In a tragic culmination, Aslam pushed Parkash off the fourth-floor roof, the officer reported, detailing the alarming escalation from verbal spat to deadly confrontation.

After being pushed off the fourth-floor roof, Ram Parkash landed near an electricity transformer on the ground, suffering fatal injuries. Rushed to MV Hospital Pooth Khurd by fellow workers, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Following an eyewitness's statement, police registered a case against Aslam and subsequently took him into custody. Authorities have now arrested Aslam in connection with Parkash's tragic death.
