On Friday, the Hyderabad, Khammam, Nalgonda, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Hanamkonda, and Mahabubabad districts had six cases against hospitals that the CID had lodged.

The CMRF offers financial support to people who have lost family members or cannot afford the high cost of Medicare. Investigated by the CID is the possibility that certain staff members of these private hospitals conspired with private citizens to forge false records and profit improperly from the CMRF.

After DSN Murthy, a section officer of the CMRF Revenue department in the Secretariat, filed a complaint with the police, the scam—which allegedly occurred several months ago—came to light.

Based on the information that is now available, there are 28 hospitals that are suspected of being implicated in the fraud. Of these, 10 are located in Khammam, 10 in Hyderabad, 3 in Nalgonda, 2 in Mahabubabad, and 1 each in Hanamkonda, Karimnagar, and Peddapalli.

Aruna Sree Multi Specialty Hospital on IS Sadan X Road, Sri Krishna Hospital in Saidabad, Janani Hospital in Saidabad, Hiranyaa Hospital in Meerpet, Delta Hospital in Hasthinapuram, Sree Raksha Hospital in BN Reddy Nagar, MMS Hospital in Sagar Ring Road, ADRM Multi Speciality Hospital in Ramanthapur, MMV Indira Multi Speciality Hospital in Kothapet, and Sri Sai Thirumala Hospital in Bairamalguda are among the medical facilities in Hyderabad that were mentioned in the FIRs.

Cases under IPC Sections 465, 468, 471, 420 read with 511 have been lodged by the CID. Six investigating officers have been assigned thus far. These officers have been instructed by the CID DG to turn in preliminary inquiry findings in a two-week period.
