Complaint of Molestation Filed Against Navi Mumbai Doctor

A 56-year-old mother accused a doctor of molesting her when her son died while receiving treatment at a hospital in the Navi Mumbai township of Maharashtra, and as a result, police filed an FIR against the doctor, an official said on Sunday.

The woman's son who lived in CBD Belapur passed away on May 30 of this year, according to the FIR, which did not include details about the deceased's ailment or cause of death.

The CBD police station official stated that the mother had accused the doctor of failing to provide his son with the necessary care, which ultimately resulted in his death.

The woman said the doctor had abused and molested her when she asked questions.

Based on the woman's complaint, a case was filed against the doctor on Saturday under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 79 (word, gesture, or act intended to insult a woman's modesty), 351(3) (criminal intimidation by threatening to cause grievous hurt or death), and 74 (assault or use of criminal force against a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), according to the police.

The complaint was filed later than expected, but no explanation was provided.
