Families Object when Patient in Telangana Hospital is Given Expired Medication

Officials revealed on Saturday that a patient was receiving medication that expired in March 2024 from a government facility in the Nirmal district of Telangana.

Azar was brought to the Khanapur Government Hospital on Friday morning following a fever. He is a resident of Lingapur village in Kadem Mandal. The matter became more urgent when Azar's family discovered that the supply of saline being given to him had expired.

Staff members at the hospital were questioned about the same right away. The duty nurse asserted that the saline was "still effective" even though it had expired. The batch of saline was quickly changed after the relatives voiced concerns.

Azar was seen on video discussing his condition while lying on one of the numerous beds undergoing treatment during the incident.

The patient's family is furious over the occurrence and is accusing the hospital of being negligent. They are also calling for responsibility to make sure that other patients are not treated improperly.

In response, the hospital personnel stated that they are dedicated to giving the patients medical care.
